Event Details

This 6-week Power Training series will begin with setting a true baseline (Functional Threshold Power Test) to gauge progress over time.

The FTP test or marker reflects the point where the exertion begins to produce the highest sustainable effort…… challenging the rider’s strength, speed, and stamina.

Establishing a benchmark FTP will allow participants to establish personal training zones to work towards improvement.

Zone Training Parameters include training in Recovery, Aerobic based training, Threshold Training, Anaerobic Based Training, and Maximal efforts

FTP is specific to each individual and should not be used as a comparative metric. It is a personal number used for individualized training.

The goal is to become aware of power output in correlation to various movements, techniques, and intensity. Classes will focus on the relationship between watts (how power is measured), cadence, heart rate, and perceived effort.
