Brazilian Funk is a hip-hop subgenre played at 140 Beats Per Minute (Allegro). It combines Afro-American and Afro-Brazilian musical traditions, with marked references to electro, Latin freestyle and Miami bass, as well as other musical, vocal and dance influences from Brazilian popular culture: samba, pop-rock, football stadium chants, Maculelê (a Brazilian folk dance of Afro-Brazilian and indigenous origin) and capoeira.
